Leadership training for beginners and advanced

LEAH Training stands for Leadership in Healthcare. The already well-known LEO training has been completely revised and adapted in terms of methodology and content to the current challenges in the healthcare system.

Objective of LEAH training

Imagine having a guide for making decisions, a framework for dealing with your employees correctly, and a clear roadmap for the further development of your department or organization. How much time and, above all, energy could you save every day?

While other managers invest a lot of time and energy in the theoretical acquisition of management and leadership skills, the LEAH training gives you a quick overview of practical methods and leadership techniques that you can apply directly. It’s about dealing with responsibility professionally, clear communication and motivation for successful cooperation in a team. Only those who recognize resources and know how to handle them target-oriented can lead successfully in the long run.

Get immediate feedback, dispel your doubts, and address your insecurities head-on. In groups, you will develop forthwith applicable solutions to current challenges in your personal daily life.

In the 3-day LEAH training, you will optimize your communicative, emotional, social and leadership skills. You will learn how to give your employees room for manoeuvre and thereby gain respect and trust. This creates the long-term foundation to sustainably strengthen and motivate your team.

Get immediate feedback, dispel your doubts, and address your insecurities head-on. In groups, you will develop forthwith applicable solutions to current challenges in your personal daily life.

The LEAH training in detail

Two 2-day workshops

The LEAH training is a two-day workshop in two parts and offers an extensive selection of leadership topics that are helpful for both new managers and those who have been there for a long time. Each participant can individually reflect on their own skills and systematically expand them.

Next dates for the LEAH training in Meißen
  • Part 1: June 8th to 9th, 2026
  • Part 2: September 3rd to 4th, 2026

The training times are planned as follows: first day 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., second day 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. On the evening of the first day of the seminar, a stroll through medieval Meißen is planned, followed by dinner in a cosy restaurant in Meißen.

The Meißen Academy is a modern conference centre within historic walls. The monastery courtyard complex has been lovingly renovated and brought technically up to date. All meeting rooms are special and unique in their own way. Meals are taken in the historic vaulted cellar. In summer, the green spaces invite you to linger or can be used for workgroups. Furthermore, the monastery corridor is used for art exhibitions. It is a 7-minute walk from the conference centre to the centre of Meißen. Sturdy shoes are recommended as Meißen is mainly paved with cobblestone. The medieval city of Meißen is 20 km north of Dresden.

Target group: attending physicians, house coordinators and head nurses

Many organizations give their middle managers the opportunity to deepen the knowledge gained in LEAH on-site. For this purpose, the 3 training days are offered individually with a respective in-depth day: i.e. 3 x 2 days.

Between the training sessions, the managers put what they have learned into practice and refer to these experiences at the next session.

Target group: attending physicians, house coordinators and head nurses

Many organizations give their middle managers the opportunity to deepen the knowledge gained in LEAH on-site. In addition to the LEAH special training (3 x 2 days), there are two further modules, each lasting 2 days, with a focus of your choice. Stress management with HeartMath techniques which are suitable for everyday use and negotiation management are frequently chosen here.

The tried-and-tested LEAH long training course comprises 6 x 2 days with implementation periods of around 8 weeks between sessions.

Excerpt from the content of the LEAH training

Typical leadership questions that are dealt with in the LEAH training:
  • How do I encourage my employees to act on their own responsibility?
  • How can I change unhealthy leadership behaviour?
  • What do I need to consider when delegating?
  • How can I assess people better? (personality diagnostics)
  • How do I motivate my employees successfully?
  • How do I deal with disciplinary measures? (positive discipline)
  • How do I solve professional problems with the LEAH triangle?

The training is practical and suitable for everyday use. Furthermore, choosing the right tools for everyday management from a wide selection of methods is fun.

At the end of the training, everyone has created a personal development plan to expand their own leadership skills. Following the training, two participants each accompany each other via telephone during an individual change process.

The LEAH handbook provides a wide range of information and background material on leadership topics. During the training, challenging situations from the participants’ everyday working lives are dealt with using examples.
